Technical building expertise
We offer building system technical expertise as to operations of
existing systems, recommendations on modifications and upgrades that could be implemented to
achieve
more efficiency or cost savings. We can provide construction field review services to ensure
the contractors are providing what has been specified. We offer building condition reporting to general
purpose and to identified potential capital or repair projects for your building management program.

Commissioning
We offer oversight of the commissioning process as early on in the project as the
client deems necessary. We provide detailed commissioning planning, participating on the design
review, contractor pre-start-up verifications, start-up verifications and full equipment performance
testing, we provide full system performance testing and integrated failure/Emergency building testing.
We review O&M and project close out documentation and oversee training of operations staff, with final
sign off on process to assist the substantial and final project completion requirements.

Mechanical field administration and commissioning specialist for various projects
in the National Capital Area for our clients The Mitchell Partnership (TMP) Mechanical
Consulting Engineers based in Toronto. The main project that we represented TMP on is
the New Canadian War Museum in Lebreton Flats (pictured below), this project is a $135M,
440,000 sq.ft. state of the art museum, with the largest green roof in the world and using
geothermal energy (river water) for the cooling, low temp heating and non-potable water
needs of the building. Our duties for TMP, included, project management, field review
of construction on a daily basis, design adjustments and change coordination, progress
application review, shop drawing review and the preparation and implementation
commissioning process for all mechanical and related electrical systems.
Canadian War Museum – OACETT Article
Mechanical Field Administration on 131 Queen street, is a 14 story, 360,000 Square foot, $65M (base building cost), mixed used office tower, with 3 levels of underground parking, 2 levels of retail space fronting both Queen street and Sparks street, high end Residential apartments, and 12 floors of office space with the main tenant being the Parliament house of Commons. In our role representing TMP as field administrator, construction progress review and payment certification evaluation.
The Delegation of Ismaili Imamat project, located
on Sussex drive, is approx. $50M/50,000 sq.ft., 2
story building with 1 level of underground parking.
The building will serve his highness the Aga Khan
of the Ismaili Muslim's faith. Our role was as
Mechanical field representative of the Mechanical
engineers TMP.
Commissioning Agent; Hudson Park PH I & II, two 18 story condominium towers, with
4 levels of underground parking, owned by Charlesfort Developments, Approx. $100M+/
240,000 sq. ft., complex. Ph I & II currently under construction. Our role was to perform full
commissioning and quality review of the project on most building systems. Project duration
is approx. 2 years, completion in early 2010.
Food Production Facility, located in the NCA,
serving a Government client, this is a large scale,

Building & Project Consulting Services/Services de Gestion de Projet Immobilier
purpose built, $25M, cooking facility. This project
was a LEED Gold project, using geothermal energy,
process heat recovery, grey water management,
day light harvesting and a green roof systems. Our
role was as Commissioning agent for the Design
Build Contractor PCL, responsible for commissioning
the mechanical, electrical, voice/data/security
infrastructure, loading docks, overhead doors and
elevators. Project completion for fall of 2009.
Commissioning Agent; Rideau Committee Rooms, located at 1 Rideau street, attached to the Chateau Laurier Hotel. Our role was as Commissioning agent for the Construction Managers PCL. The building provides for state of the art, large scale video and recorded/televised conference space for the House of Commons. Approx. Budget of $15M and project completion for September 2010.
Commissioning Agent for Museum of History and Museum of War; replacement
of existing 900 Ton centrifugal chiller with a new 1000 Ton centrifugal chiller with heat
recovery bundles for low temperature heating. Also the replacement of a 320 Ton Screw
chiller with a new 360 Ton magnetic drive centrifugal chiller, both chillers use river water
for the condenser heat sink, Our role was as independent commissioning agent for the
mechanical contractor, responsible for preparing the commissioning plan and performance
verification process, ensure close out documentation, training and seasonal commissioning
are performed
